Field of engineering
The present invention relates to a method for starting the casting operation of a multi-strand continuous casting machine, a method for stopping the casting operation of a multi-strand continuous casting machine, a common plug drive for opening and closing a plurality of plugs, and a multi-strand continuous casting machine with the common plug drive.
State of the art
Method for starting or stopping the casting operation of a multi-strand continuous casting machine, which is particularly suitable for casting long products made of steel, are basically known in the prior art.
Especially with multi-strand continuous casting machines for long products, which are products with billet, pre-block or pre-profile cross-section, often plug drives are used. In this case, a plug drive moves a single plug, so that the plug can open, close or regulate an outflow of liquid steel from the casting distributor into a mold. The plug is usually made of refractory material and is replaced after a manifold change.
Before or after the casting operation, the casting distributor is usually transported including the mounted stopper drives in the so-called distribution economy and restored for the next casting sequence. During transport, tilting and storage of the distributor, there is an increased risk of damaging the delicate stopper drives.
Due to the high number of stopper drives per casting distributor in a multi-strand continuous casting machine, the assembly and disassembly of the stopper drives is also time-consuming. The assembly or disassembly of the plug drives on hot distributor is also extremely dangerous because the casting is still very hot by the liquid metal or metal residues and the assembly staff can easily be injured.
Summary of the invention
The object of the invention is to reduce the time for the assembly or disassembly of the plug drives on a Gießverteiler. In addition, the risk of damage to the plug drives in the distribution economy is to be reduced. Finally, the risk of injury during assembly or disassembly of the plug drives for the assembly staff should be reduced.
This object is achieved by a method for starting the casting operation of a multi-strand continuous casting machine according to claim 1 by the following method steps: - Mounting a common plug drive to a Gießverteiler, wherein the Gießverteiler in a set-up area, preferably on a casting platform, the continuous casting machine is located and the common Plug drive multiple plugs can open and close independently; - attaching plugs to the common plug drive; - placing the casting distributor on a distribution truck, wherein the distribution carriage is in a parking position on the casting platform of the continuous casting machine; - Establishing electrical connections between a control of the continuous casting machine and the common plug drive; - heating the casting distributor; - Moving the distributor car into a casting position; - filling the distributor; - Opening of at least one plug of the common plug drive, whereby the casting operation of the continuous casting machine is started.

Thereafter, the electrical connections between a control of the continuous casting machine and the common plug drive are made. Preferably, the control of the continuous casting machine is connected via a single harness with the common plug drive, which in turn reduces the assembly time.
Subsequently, the casting distributor, e.g. burned by burner, so that the Gießverteiler or its lining is not damaged by the subsequent filling with molten steel.
Then the distribution truck is moved to the casting position. Typically, the distribution truck is guided by rails on the casting platform. The at least partial filling of the casting distributor with molten steel may take place either in the park or the casting position, e.g. directly from a pan or via a so-called pan rotation.
Finally, at least one plug of the common plug drive is opened, whereby molten steel passes from the distributor into the mold and the casting operation is started.
Preferably, the common plug drive is transported from a storage area to the setup area prior to assembly.
The transporting is preferably carried out by means of a transport manipulator, which is optionally movable parallel to the casting platform or about an axis perpendicular to the casting platform axis. As a result, the common plug drive can be safely manipulated. It is particularly preferred if the transporting and mounting of the common stopper drive on the casting distributor are effected by means of one and the same manipulator.
Due to the weight of the Gießverteilers, it is advantageous if the placement of the Gießverteilers done on the distribution truck by means of a crane.
The object according to the invention is also achieved by a method for stopping the casting operation of a multi-strand continuous casting machine which has a casting distributor on a distributor wagon and the casting distributor a common one
Stopper drive having a plurality of plugs, solved according to claim 6 by the following method steps: - closing the at least one plug, so that all connected to the common plug drive plug are closed; - Moving the distribution car in a parking position; - cooling the casting distributor; - Disconnecting electrical connections between a control of the continuous casting machine and the common plug drive; - Lifting the Gießverteilers from the distribution truck; - Transporting the Gießverteilers in a set-up area of the continuous casting machine; - releasing the plugs from the common plug drive; and - disassemble the common plug drive from the casting manifold.
In the process, at least one stopper that is open during the continuous casting operation is closed first, so that all the plugs of the common stopper drive are closed. As a result, the casting operation is terminated. Subsequently, the Gießverteiler is moved to the parking position, where the Gießverteiler - for example, by natural convection - can cool. After releasing the electrical connections between the control of the continuous casting machine and the common stopper drive of the casting manifold is lifted from the distribution truck. The casting spreader is then transported to the setup area of the continuous casting machine where the plugs are released from the common plug drive. The release can e.g. done by knocking off the plug. Thereafter, the common plug drive is removed from the casting manifold.
Due to the weight of the Gießverteilers, it is advantageous if the lifting of the Gießverteilers done by the distribution truck and transporting the Gießverteilers in the set-up area by means of a crane.
Moreover, it is advantageous if the disassembly of the common stopper drive from the casting distributor takes place by means of a manipulator.
Finally, it is advantageous if, after dismantling the common stopper drive from the casting distributor, the common stopper drive is transported by means of a manipulator into a storage area. It is particularly preferred if the dismantling and transportation of the common plug drive take place by means of the same manipulator.
The object of the invention is also achieved by a common plug drive for opening and closing a plurality of plugs according to claim 10, comprising: - a plurality of plug drives for each independent opening and closing of a plug; - A connecting element, preferably a beam on which a plurality of plug drives are releasably attached; and - fastening means for securing the connecting element to a casting distributor.
Due to the "common stopper drive", the multiple stopper drives can be quickly mounted or removed from the casting distributor in a multi-strand continuous casting machine.
A multi-strand continuous casting machine according to the invention according to claim 11 comprises: - a casting mold with a plurality of molds for continuous casting of steel strands; - A distribution truck, which is movable on the casting platform between a casting position and a parking position; a casting distributor and a common plug drive according to the invention, wherein the common stopper drive can be detachably mounted and dismounted on the casting distributor; a set-up area for the casting distributor and a storage area for the common stopper drive, wherein the set-up area and the storage area are preferably arranged on the casting platform; a manipulator for transporting the common stopper drive from the storage area into the set-up area and vice versa; - A crane for placing and lifting the Gießverteilers from the distribution truck; and a controller of the continuous casting machine which can be connected to the common plug drive.
In this case, the manipulator is designed for mounting and dismounting the common plug drive.
It is advantageous if the manipulator has - a hoist for lifting and lowering the common plug drive; and / or - a traversing device for moving the manipulator parallel to the casting platform.
The hoist can be formed in a simple case as arranged on a boom chain pulley; The traversing device can be formed, for example, by a linear drive, a plurality of guide wheels and a rail.

Description of the embodiments

The steps for carrying out the method for stopping the casting operation of a multi-strand continuous casting machine are likewise already known from FIGS. 4-7, with the exception that the method according to claim 6 proceeds to a large extent in the reverse direction to the method according to claim 1.
Finally, an embodiment of a multi-strand continuous casting machine 100 according to the invention is shown in FIG. On the casting platform not shown separately, the storage area 10 for the common stopper drive 2 and the setup area 11 for the casting manifold 1. The common stopper drive 2 is lifted by means of the manipulator 15 and the hoist 17 from the storage area 10, transported into the setup area 11 and there placed on the casting distributor and mounted. For this purpose, the manipulator by the travel drive 15a on the rails 13 is movable. The casting distributor 1 with the common stopper drive 2 is then lifted off from the setting region 11 by means of the crane 19 designed as a hall crane and placed on the distributor carriage 12. The distribution truck 12 can then be moved on further rails 13 from the parking position to the casting position shown dashed. The hall crane has a trolley 20, so that the crane can be moved as shown from left to right on the trolley 20 and from top to bottom on the laterally arranged rails 13 in the casting hall.
